pElement is an advanced interactive reference tool on the periodic table. It has many features and is loaded with information on the chemical elements. In just its initial release, pElement contains as much or more information on the chemical elements as any other periodic table program, including web-based programs. Examples of information found in pElement but not found in most other programs include heat of sublimation, critical pressure, heat of formation, percent volume change upon melting, entropy, temperature coefficient of resistivity, thermal neutron capture cross section, thermal conductivity at multiple temperatures and crystal structures of all stable phases at atmospheric pressure. pElement utilizes a compact format that minimizes the use of screen space and allows for efficient operation of the program. The periodic table, element information and software tools appear in separate small or medium-sized windows so that they can be accessed by the user simultaneously. Version 1.11 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
