A ping tool is an essential piece of software for anyone who administers a network or provides any kind of Internet related services. In order to maintain a consistently high level of quality control over your network and its devices, a ping tool collects detailed information about the network performance of each of the devices on your network, allowing you to analyze them later on. Ping Assist Pro is one of these tools, though it also offers some unique features such as running as a Windows service and using up only a negligible amount of system resources. The software is easy to install and set up, allowing you to select which devices on your network you want to be monitored and which alarms, if any, you want to assign to them. Alarm notifications can be given by sounds, network or system tray messages or email notifications. In addition, detailed performance statistics are also retained in the program's logs and can be viewed in textual or graphical format.
