Protect VBA is program that enables MS Excel, Word, Access, Publisher, Outlook, FrontPage, PowerPoint, Project and Bentley MicroStation VBA programmers to improve the protection of their VBA code. The standard VBA password is a very weak protection scheme and there are several password recovery tools on the Internet somebody could misuse to get your code. The program protects the VBA projects in the following ways: 1. It makes the VBA password recovery utilities become unaware of the protection, thus disabling the recovery or modification of it. 2. It prevents non-experts form hacking the password with a hex editor. 3. Disables the VBA Backdoor (or VBA Password Bypass) hack. Currently Elian Soft is not aware of a VBA password recovery tool that is able to crack this type of protection.
Version 1.7.1 adds support for Bentley MicroStation MVBA files.
